Bob Marley – Send me that Love – Rare Early Ballad

A Lee Perry session circa March 1971 yielded only one song, but what a song!A breathtakingly beautiful ballad with Bob singing lead. Peter sings harmony and plays xylophone. Bunny sings harmony and plays bass. They are joined  by Rita Marley and Hortense Lewis singing harmony. The great Hugh Malcolm on drums. This is a very great Wailers song.

Lyrics

Ooooh, ooooh, oooh …

Send me that love,
I’ve been created for
As the sunshine is above, uh …
There is someone for me, to love
Do you believe, me?
Can you, understand I’m crying
Baby baby, c’mon …

Need you so!
I’ll never never let you go o-ho!
Baby, baby, c’mon..

Oh darling…
I need your love,
That’s all I can say right here, now
Oh oh oh baby c’mon …

You know I need you so,
Oh darling I’ll never never let you go.
Baby baby oh darling, c’mon
Uh uh uh …

I say ! Send me that love, oh darling …
I’ve been created for
As the sunshine is above, uh uh we
There is someone who needs to love
Do you believe me?

Oh darling, can you understand I’m crying !
Oh oh darling, baby baby, oh darling, oh darling …

I need you tonight !!!
